Witnessing the death of democracy
The myth of populism springs from the death of democracy. The killers are not the populous but the failed leaders. And the failed leadership are only looters pillaging everything of value from the system. There is no shame as they have no concept of shame. They are racist haters or enablers who justify their actions on the basis of their sacred greed. Greed is all that matters and is the surviving dogma of America.
I wish it were not so blatant as that makes people both angry and depressed producing an explosive combination. This game has been played for many years and while it becomes harder to ignore the danger the rigidity of the dogma eliminates all options or any real solution. The market is amped up proving its own success and wealth becomes more and more distorted. The trickles of wealth in the form of a few more hours of pay for some are used to hide the vast sums lost to the few. Only a minority are seemingly still fooled in desperation for some hope.
This cannot last and the very real hope is appearing around us unrecognized by the official communicators of the national line. We are rapidly entering an age of completely distributed governance with new, on demand, currencies beyond the reach of the old governments. Those that are open to change and recognize the signs are moving position themselves and their people for the new. There are many governments that are still legitimate enough to listen to the people and try to provide what is needed and wanted. They are being lead to the new digital world of sustainable growth based on shared wealth and publicly managed resources. The rigid are fighting to deny any change. Their nations will not survive. That is the brutal reality. In those rigid states we need to build the new completely outside the realm of the old. An interesting challenge.
