Without making too much of it, we are in times that give unusual strength to those mired in the past. Yet this has happened because of the rate and size of change that we must face. Above all else I think we need to be moving consciously and carefully to the new paradigm(s). Instead we are battling ignorance and emotions. Nothing good ever comes from emotional ignorance.

The problem is if you talk to almost anyone in a normal conversation they will totally agree with that and probably even laugh at the absurdity. But we have a significant minority that, when faced with an abstraction, will revert to near total stupidity as if that is right and natural. This, I’m really afraid, is an evolutionary cusp. We either get our emotion driven politics out of the loop or we’re going to fall out of the loop.
