While Chomsky's grand linguistic theory has fallen out of fashion (fashion is not an indicator of viability or correctness) it directly addresses a problem we must deal. This is the source of moral standards in cultures. I suspect there is no universal grammar but there are clearly tendencies and limitations based on both the structure and evolution of our sensory processes.
We are entangled in our universe at a more levels than via our remote sensing abilities. I'm not sure what this means but I think we are seeing a great increase in efforts to articulate this in order to overcome our current cultural disintegration.
