What a Shock! Who Could Have Known?

What a shock! The neo-nazi supporters of a psychopath attempting to hold onto power follow the orders they are given to overthrow the government. Who could have known that such a thing could happen in the US capital?
The goons fomenting this are, of course, also shocked.
Shocked, I tell you, we had no idea this could happen, is what they will say. The idiot Cruz, a twisted piece of shit, playing a little sedition game for some political gain, wanted everyone who could read to calm down. It's only a bit of theater that means nothing but keeps the dollars coming in from those who don’t know any better.
One look at the Trumpist crowd milling around the capital should clarify that these people don’t understand theater and pretense. They believed every lie and all of the bullshit and will kill people for it. At least one was shot and seriously injured in the attack on the Senate chambers.

Every effort is being made to pretend that this is other than what it obviously is even though the entire DC national guard is on duty and will patrol the capital. We should know how this goes as we have seen it so many times in banana republics and all of those ‘shit hole’ countries that don’t know how to act.
But wait, this is Washington DC. How do we explain shit hole actions by a propagandized mob in the US Congress? This will be hard to explain away as a misunderstanding. What happens when the national guard moves in?
As Indi Samarajiva explained a month ago, we are already in the contemporary form of national collapse and insurgency. The violence will grow, and pretending that it is something else will not work.
When people are arbitrarily oppressed, and other people are told they have the right to oppress and take what they want, you have a well understood explosive mix. If you allow authoritarians to have positions of power to place a narcissistic time bomb in the top office and then refuse to remove him as the lies and criminal actions grow, you cannot expect the individual, in full narcissistic rage, to do anything but destroy. All the people that know narcissistic rage and Donald Trump have been saying this is what would happen.
I’m trying to be calm and rational, but Jesus H. Christ in a bucket, the ‘I can’t really do anything crowd’ are the last people you hear before the building explodes. Having lived through the incredible, slow-motion trainwreck of America since the 1950s, I certainly don’t expect the kind of people that Trump and his henchmen have incited to apologize for being idiots and go home.
They are claiming rights they do not have and do not support. This is bullshit. We need to deal with this, but it will not be easy, nor can it be gentle. This is not Black Lives Matter, with massive and peaceful demonstrations marked only by violence from fascist police forces. We have a tiny minority believing that only they have any rights because that is what incompetent opportunists could endlessly repeat.
Trump needs to be removed from office immediately. The Sedition Caucus needs to be detained and indicted. If that is not done now, it will only grow.
As I’ve said many times, I don’t think the nation-states can survive without full democracy and declaration of all necessities as public commons. We don’t have any choice, and we will all pay while the denials and fighting increases. The longer this takes, the smaller the chance of salvaging the US as a nation.
Joe Biden can now take over the Senate and, with a united Congress, enact emergency rules to clean out the festering corruption. If he doesn't do that, the whole thing will fall. But he has, until now, always been part of the problem.
