We need to do something about the money
Political crime is powered by stolen wealth

Trump and his stooges are thieves. Forty years of predatory capitalism has built the massive wealth and asset distortions in the most capitalist nation states. The Trump regime is the criminal result of those decades of exploitation. The US is the lead disaster with almost all wealth in the hands of a tiny percent of the population (32% by the 1%, 70% by the top 10%).
Just to be clear, this is actually two problems. Income distribution is a problem of underpaying workers and overpaying a select few managers that produces fulltime work for less than a living wage. Asset distribution is the issue of assets being hoarded by a tiny percentage. These are not the same problem.
Health economies have a closer ratio of top pay to lowest worker pay. In hugely distorted economies the few receive a large percentage of the available income which exacerbates the asset distribution problem. But asset imbalances tend to be from capital gains through inherited wealth or rentier actions through property ownership. This is capital gains versus salaried income.
We need to fix both but that raises basic questions of the goals for society that I am not dealing with here. The issue here is the very immediate political problem of gross amounts of money in a few hands. Because that has been allowed to evolve over the last forty years, that disproportionate wealth is in the final stages democratic governmental destruction.
So what does that mean as we struggle to reform our societies to new sustainable standards to survive and, ultimately again, thrive? It means that the greatest power has been given to those least motivated to change their vision of reality because, if they protect their assets, they can do fine while everyone else dies. That is wrong but that is what they believe. These are the parasites that have feasted on an structurally failed system and will block change at all costs.
The tragedy is that they have the money to pay whatever it takes. We are now seeing Trump and the criminals that facilitate him opening their financial fire hoses to bribe people to protect Trump, nullify the Constitution, and destroy the planet. The Constitution is badly in need of major reform but it is all we have now.
Please note that I am not being careful and polite in order to maintain the pretense of political debate because there is no political debate. This is about forces who have stolen vast sums and vast planetary assets for themselves and, because we have allowed that, those assets will be used to maintain that small elites power and ill-gotten gains. This is a dispute about power and criminal actions typified by Trump and his Republican manipulator/stooges. Yes, they both seek to manipulate and are manipulated.
As the long overdue Trump impeachment grows with a wealth of crime and corruption beyond our expectations, the din of lies no longer even pretends to be about ethics or morality, let alone policy. There are no policies in criminal activity. As a result of decades of political corruption in the US, Trump can command a tiny percent of the vastly wealthy to give hundreds of millions of dollars to block his removal, subsequent indictment, conviction, and imprisonment. These people have no hesitation in funding criminal actions because they covering their own asses and their own asset hoardes. Greed is the only virtue and they are the greedy.
Because of this the naïve belief that the American system is, somehow, still functioning at some basic level will be destroyed by vast advertising campaigns presenting a mentally unstable criminal as . . . not a criminal. How many people raised on endless advertising and entertainments will recognize this for what it is?
We are told by our official media that it is half and half with one side understanding the disaster of criminals being given free reign and the other in full support of crime and insanity? Bullshit. How has this come to be?
As a kid my mother always told me that if something is wrong everyone doing it does not make it right. People are basically good. For a lot of people to accept wrong as right requires religion and/or political propaganda. And both religion and propaganda is communication that must be loud, omnipresent, and constant. That takes a locked in cult group or huge amounts of money in a networked culture.
Guess what this distortion of the US economy into predatory capitalism with oligarchic authoritarian controls has created? The real point being that the 2020 election will be corrupted and manipulated just as the 2016 election was tipped by a few thousand votes gained by propaganda and sophisticated Russian social media manipulation. But the pretense of a fair election was desperately maintained and still is.
There is no pretense now. Criminal activity is now not to be questioned. There are no controls on the election or any action that the Republican regime wants to do to save its ass. And money talks.
How do we fight that? The truth that is simply overwhelmed by shouts of lies? Dollars equal volume in a world distorted by materialism and greed as the only value. Key states and regions will see constant images of Trump claiming to be the savior of all and the victim of lies. Money drives that repetition. This is not free speech but freedom to lie so loudly that no one else can speak.
We need to stop pretending that there are rules to this game. We have already lost if we continue with that attitude. We need to declare the rewards of crime as subject to confiscation. How else will truth and justice be salvaged?
Twitter refused all political ads must be followed by Facebook and all major media. No political ads from anyone. Viral posts from political sources must be eliminated. This can actually be done.
Until we can remove the assets from the hoarders we cannot restores a democratic system of government. In the meantime we can remove the criminal’s means of using their wealth to destroy representative government.
