We are now the USSR
I am not surprised at the complete absence of coverage. This was a horrible tragedy resulting from gross negligence by whom, exactly, we will probably never know. The fact that this deadly collapse could happen a week after opening on a major thoroughfare in a major American city with zero followup fits very neatly with what Amber Lisa identified as a USSR type of reality.
Most people don’t remember the USSR other than, maybe, that it produced Vladimir Putin who grew up in the KGB. It was the great enemy of the “free world” led by the USA that was its opposite and in all ways closer to god and the sacrament of capitalist profit. It was a fifty year cold war that led to the collapse of the USSR first and now with the USA following thirty years later. The tragedy is that propaganda prevented people in the US from seeing that the problem was far deeper and the old arguments of capitalism versus communism had become superficial. In reality they had become identical. Radical ideologies that override human carrying and deny reality collapse on themselves in the end. We are now identical to the USSR in its final days.
It was obvious from the first announcement of the collapse that the only thing that could be gained form this tragedy was click bait. There was nothing to be gained from admitting that gross negligence was allowed in the interest of profit. The correctness of that cannot be questioned. A criminal sociopath preforms for the news, he thinks for himself, but, in reality, to cover the plundering of the country and our planet by the forces of greed. The reasons for that have been forgotten but the oligarchs control so nothing may change.
Four days after the bridge collapse and the news was already very old, I saw the click bait sites picking up on the the exciting news that a lake of blood was seeping out from the wreckage. They had pictures and video. It can be used to distract and mesmerize with horror. Who cares why it happened?
