We are now at the mercy of everyone in the Middle East

Could this be the goal? The man, and I dare say some of his cohort, are mentally disturbed. If nothing else they are completely clueless on diplomacy of any kind let alone Middle Eastern diplomacy. Your conclusion that this is resulting from a realization that the plan, whatever it was, is toast could play to his desire for an opportunity to bomb people. That was the only thing he has done (the mother of all bombs in Syria) that generated a positive move in his numbers. The fact that it was a Russian coordinated trick with the Syrian government was, of course, lost on Trump. He thought he was king of the world.

This is so sick and scary that I don’t want to think about it. Sadly that is the strategy, such as it is, for Trump. He is only interested in fawning attention and is strictly an opportunist. Things are going very badly for him very fast and that cannot be tolerated. He needs to prove that he is the king of the world. He needs wild eyed followers screaming for him with everyone else outraged but talking only about Trump.

I really don’t know what else to say. We can only hope that the Palestinian, Egyptian, Iranian, and Arab leaders decide it wouldn’t be fair to take an idiot such as Trump seriously and they just ignore this ridiculous move of the US embassy to Jerusalem and let him suck on it.

Somehow I don’t think it will work out that way . . .
