Trump has nothing left but lies but still dangerous

This is the Friday pause after an incredible week. Trump’s biplane has died and anyone who can is jumping now. After trying out several forms of blatant criminal confession in search of a magic flute to lure some kind of crowd again, he’s left with only lies.
Trump is on his way to a very serious impeachment on Nancy Pelosi’s schedule. At the rate he is going there will be so many confessions with public videos that a real impeachment trial would be Trump impeached before everyone had found their seat.
The political wisdom is that no Republican in the Senate has any sense of ethics, morality, or any imitation of those things and will grovel on command. There is, however, a growing hesitancy in the rapid grovel response. Concern is beginning to intrude. What will the world be like in America post Trump? How much faith do you put in an irrational psychopath?
The damage to Trump is large enough that the US media is trying to puff Trump back up a bit to keep the tension and excitement high. Media want eyeballs for ads and slow news days are not good. The horses must be whipped and even the one with three legs must be claimed as a major contender.
From the Trump side it is the umpteenth recycling of lies, insults, threats, outrage, and the old standby, filing suit against CNN for something or other with damages. This does get old. Gaslighting is all that is left but without some patch of questionable fact to hook to the whole thing just floars away.
Having read the highlights of Trump’s sideshow in Dallas clearly illustrated the absence of anything but bogus stories easily destroyed. The MAGA beanie crowd will cheer for anything that looks orange even if almost all of the eighty minutes of rambling is irrational, which it apparently was. A few of the usual lies got through. Communication is not part of this process so not much reason for anyone to pay attention other than to simply note the event for the record.
Trump is, of course, totally oblivious to the Turkey and Syria size hole in his biplane. That wouldn’t matter to him but the outrage is coming from Republican Congress people as much as anyone else. Even Moscow Mitch is whining about it but careful not to use the sacred name in vane, although, who the hell else is he talking about?
The Ukraine hearings, that may become hybrid Syria hearings, are on with more Trump people ignoring his orders not to testify next week. This should generate more self inflicted damage. People are seriously asking how much more do we need?
As noted above in the discussion of Republican’s nonexistent morality, to save the US is going to require much more than impeachment to remove Trump and associate criminals. Corrupt fascist style governments have been removed as they appear. Iceland and Spain are examples. They rely on mass demonstrations to force the scum out.
The level of political corruption at the federal level is to great to expect anything but of Congress. Their nests are too well feathered to make it necessary for them to do their duty. They will cut and run when things get hard. But people in the streets is what will make the difference. Millions and repeatedly in the streets is direct democracy.
We don’t know what will ultimately happen but the Hong Kong Freedom movement has, again, shown that direct, 21st century democracy can force change on authoritarian governments The US political system has been corrupted and weakened to the point that it is almost useless so direct action is required.
We are very close to that now. It will be interesting to watch.
