This was difficult to follow but I’ll make one effort to respond. Food in America is a corporate commodity and a major international trade item. Less than 2% of the US population are involved in farming. Incidentally that is a major reason trump’s latest idiocy is actually dangerous. The people who are going to suffer are workers in the agricultural industry.

Diversity is the strength of urban societies. The post industrial planet is well on its way to alliances of urban regions. I don’t think the old nation state will survive although it will linger on as a vestigial appendage.
