This is thoughtful and important statement and I’m glad it was published in Medium. As one of the most innovative and diverse Internet forums and based on the extensive, honest, and serious discussions of the ongoing train wreck of the 2016 election, I expect Medium to be an important voice in rational resistance to what is coming.

As always political disasters have to be seen as critical opportunities. The very clear division between the Pacific coast states (and other progressive regions) and the economic dependencies of Trumpistan will widen. This will be a potential flash point and will need to be recognized as such.

The need for active and aggressive action in the Senate is critical. The future is based on collaboration and the development of new, diverse, and critical forums is where this work should be done.
