This is the terrible irony of innovation in America. The American empire is collapsing into a new form of poverty by destroying what should be a new level of planetary wealth.

We know this is driven by hypercapitalism in its most predatory form but we are powerless to remove the disease. Those that have locked in the system for their own benefits have nearly complete control. We are seeing that everyday while they refuse to see the poverty growing around them. That’s not poverty, they say. The people are just not able to manage their own finances, we have to punish them until they do. Our consciences are clear. It doesn’t even make sense.

But the problem is that the system is in collapse and cannot be repaired. It will not allow its disease to be discussed except on the fringes. People with bad thinking are not allowed in positions of power.

As mentioned by Evan Scott in another comment, the key to this is becoming clearer. Large nation states are now unworkable politically. They are unworkable, in the end, as representative democracies let alone direct democracies. And that is where we need to go to eliminate the rule by a tiny elite locked in by greed.

Think about it.
