This is the clearest and most accurate denunciation of what passes for contemporary journalism that I have seen. We all understand that squirrels are chased and, with great drama, shot for purposes of greed. And greed is not a virtue nor are the outcomes of greed virtuous. That is a very unpopular statement because virtue is boring. It doesn’t play to greed. I have very definite problems with Hilary Clinton’s positions supporting radical capitalism and military conquest but recognize that she is competent, honest, and virtuous. That last term is her greatest failing. People who act with virtuous intent make mistakes. They correct and move on. But that doesn’t create traffic like hatred and exploding squirrels. . .
