There seems to be a bit of a perspective problem here. You’re making me take the position of saying the boat already sailed and you missed it. This has become a pattern with young coders and it has begun to worry me. Ok, I’m not even your parent’s age but grandparent’s . . while I certainly enjoy a good rant I’ll try to avoid that here. In short the little kids now have the benefit of learning the uses of ubiquitous information storage and processing and will learn to code, ok, script, at that level. Where that leads we will see but having watched and worked at all stages of this evolution of human thinking I’m excited as each stage is s paradigm shift of ever greater magnitude. While you’re focused on the steadily emerging world of APIs and increasingly powerful and simple programming languages (assumption) that’s still bogged down well below the human level. Machines need you do that. Ok, that starts a whole other argument. . .
