Thanks. I don’t watch TV so I hadn’t seen the ad. Good production and a reasonable message that should have been made the center of American entertainment years ago.
There was always a nasty side to the American male image but it was all we had to grow up with. The opposite side was the horrible image of women perpetrated by the advertising industry through the 1950s and on. The combination has, not surprisingly, proven deadly for the American culture.
The fact that there are pundits whining about an ad that makes a bit of a break from the stereotypical American image is an indication of the rapid decline of America. Misogyny is deadly and the American image of masculinity is a tragic path to depression and suicide as well as violence and bigotry. The whiners exhibit all the characteristics you would expect.
This will be corrected, elsewhere if not in America, as expanding diversity allows open and supportive emotions to become the ideal for all genders.
