Play Time is Over
People are dying, the planet is in crisis, and the majority voted

Enough of being nice. Trump and his cowardly sycophants have had a week to sulk and pout about being voted out. Trump's delicate condition was an embarrassment but is now a public hazard.
We’ve been carefully told, off the record, by most of the Republican leadership that while Trump is batshit crazy and the election was over on Saturday, oh my god, he will be very nasty to them if they say that. So you have had a week to straighten the guy up, but there are far larger problems to solve.
With majority approval in the election, a significant change is a return of rationality and compassion in public life. That is true in all cases by all moral and ethical standards. A person with a serious personality disorder and growing mental dysfunction should be allowed some extra room to deal with things we know are beyond their ability to comprehend. But there is a limit.
You folks are at the limit. A large part of the problems that must be immediately dealt with is your fault and the fault of the incompetent you decided to place in the White House for reasons that are hard to fathom. But the public consequences of those actions will be dealt with later under the new administration. Now we need to get this transition done as efficiently and effectively as possible. People are dying and will, obviously, continue to die until that transition is complete and critical actions can immediately be implemented.
Everyone knows that the legal challenges to this election are bogus. Even if they were real, they are totally inconsequential. To make this clear, the New York Times called each state's electoral officials to identify any problems yet to be reconciled.
Election officials in dozens of states [all] representing both political parties said that there was no evidence that fraud or other irregularities played a role in the outcome of the presidential race, amounting to a forceful rebuke of President Trump’s portrait of a fraudulent election.
Toddler Trump needs to be slapped into shape as he must be made to sit at his desk and pretend to be president for the next two months. And randomly firing the heads of various departments in the Federal government is not acceptable. Threatening to hold superspreader events to make himself feel better and further confuse his cult members is also unacceptable.
Setting up PACs and shaking down his followers for money to be used to pay down his personal debts, if they read the fine print, is a standard Trump scam, but he will get their money any way he can, so we will let that go. But continuing to allow Trump and his primary stooge Barr and the junior stooges to claim that some pending legal action needs funding to excite his most delusional followers is a criminal act. Many of those excitable people are dangerous and destructive, and we have had enough bloodshed from them already.
None of this is political. There are no ‘two sides’ to this story. There is only criminal and immoral versus legal and committed to public welfare. Those are the sides that we need to focus on and that Biden and Harris are attempting to maintain in good faith.
Later there will be time to face revolutionary change. No one aware of the reality we exist in now thinks that another establishment politician dedicated to keeping things the same has any future. Too many people have been driven over the last four decades into the precariat and now into full poverty to make this anything but a transition to massive change at the planetary level.
The climate’s disastrous warming results from an unsupportable planetary economy that must be eliminated and replaced. Pending violent unrest, massive refugee movements, and livable regions' loss will stress us to the end of our abilities. We cannot afford to allow small-time opportunists to foment stupid disasters for their own gain while exhausting us before things get serious.
We need to be practical and provable bogus political positions that will be swept away over the next thirty to forty years is not worth threatening our children and grandchildren. Is that too hard to understand?
So much for the nation’s criminal and incompetent leadership. Before someone starts whining about the 70 million voters who voted for a criminal idiot, I don’t really give a shit about those people now. They need to get real and get in line. If they can’t do that, then they need to get out of the way.
The population of North America is currently 368,869,647. I can comfortably say that 70 million, or 19% of that total, represents a good estimate of the mentally ill in that population. Are all of those people mentally ill? No, some of them are evil, and others are just confused. My point is that this is not a large enough portion of the population that should stand in the way of survival. That is a harsh statement, but we are moving rapidly past the easy time. We need a pragmatic perspective on what we need to consider and do.
That 19% is willing to accept arbitrary authoritarian rule even if it kills them. We need to do better than that. Let’s now waste any more time letting them claim that their sensitivities are being hurt, and their privileges are being ignored. They have no problem preventing other people from having anything at all, and privileges be damned.
