People Are Bored with War Scams
Surprise, nations led by liars have trouble with credibility

Watching the frantic efforts of Trump and crew to start a war with Iran is bringing back many bad memories. Apparently this is true from many other people also as Gulf of Tonkin has been trending along with Gulf of Hormuz on Twitter.
The Gulf of Tonkin incident was fabricated by Lyndon Johnson in 1964 to justify a massive US invasion of Vietnam. In those days it was easier to just make stuff up. Sadly the death and destruction that resulted also led to the fatal crippling of the US a coherent nation state. This became the pattern for those in power to justify subsequent wars in, what is now, nearly sixty years of continuous tragedy.
The errors of Vietnam were ‘corrected’ by using only professional military with extensive use of mercenaries. Permanent war was carefully made normal and the source of great industrial wealth. American casualties must be kept very low and all the other casualties are simply ignored. Existing wars are not news worthy.
People are not so easily fooled now although the American media always works hard to avoid being accused of holding any moral or ethical standard that might question the justifications for permanent war.
Ironically, the success of previous scams to start wars combined with the success in making wars so normal makes it hard to drum up outrage and anger. Everyone knows that any connection to truth or reality with the Trump regime is strictly accidental.
If they actually took a moral stand they wold lose eyeballs reducing their bottom line. The only morality in America, now, is profit.
It’s just hard to differentiate those who are actually being fooled from those that are pretending to be fooled so they can prey on the others. The criminal crew that make up the Republican Party represent the second group.
This is also a major problem. The disease that produces a symptom such as Trump has replaced all standards with opportunities and leverage points. Everyone is completely duplicitous pretending to be what they assume or have been told that the people they wish to exploit demand to see. Since no one cares about any point except as it gives an advantage for power or financial gain, and as no one is anything other than what they are pretending to be to gain those points, everyone becomes an illusion. No one is real.
The ‘Gulf of Tonkin’ trending is a good sign. It really looks as if only the residents of Trumpistan are buying this one. The tanker attacks in the Gulf of Hormuz being presented as exactly equivalent to the Gulf of Tonkin attacks makes things very clear. Just because the folks doing this aren’t very bright and have committed to playing the same trick, yet again, they need to pay a large price for screwing with everyone
Sadly, Trump and his Trumpistan junior mafia are so far gone they are continuously incriminating themselves. I don’t think they realize that is hindering their glorious game of war. Even the folks at Fox end up struggling to shut Trump up. Yet another case of dementia and assorted delusions causing Trump to say on national TV what he is not supposed to say in public. “Make me an offer, I’m for sale. You can have my entire cabinet (who are they this month?) for a few dollars more!”
In a normal world we could segregate the different scandals, crimes, scams, treasonous acts, simple stupidity, and dangerous mental illnesses that we are dealing with into separate narratives to keep things straight. That is now gone and it is impossible to ignore Trump’s descent into mental illness, crime, treason, and childish stupidity because it is completely intertwined in a giant hair ball of a disaster.
And this stuff is catching. The folks who have convinced themselves they are just playing along for political and financial benefits really should spend a couple of hours reading the classic, Siddhartha by Herman Hesse. You may think you are actually on a different level from the sick puppy you’re pretending to follow in order to manipulate things but, in the end, you are what you do. Your pretense is an illusion and you are now a thoroughly disgusting, sick puppy, too.
Just look at Mitch McConnell and the full horror of what can happen is on full display. I expect that we will need to reenact the ancient Egyptian practice of completely erasing the names of people involved in this disaster. But that is a future story.
There will be a reckoning. The distortions in reality created by America’s collision with the future are far too large to avoid. We’re not talking about a thin spiritual karmic payback as those are usually just enjoyable but random events. We are talking a full planet sized, physical, karmic ass kicking. And Homo sapiens are the kickees.
Thank you, Donald, Mitch and all the others who have worked so hard to turn normal political incompetence into a planet sized disaster. And they had no idea what they were doing. Trump never will.
But we need to keep teasing apart this hair ball because any hope of survival is dependent on cleaning this awful mess up. Many, many people are saying this in many ways now without regard for Nancy Pelosi’s very narrow view of exactly the same types of political advantage. It is really important for the mental health of the citizens of America, and of everyone alive on this planet, to clean this mess up before the climate shit hammer falls.
So political advantage is irrelevant. There is no longer any political advantage to be found because politics is dead. It’s all in that big, foul, smelly hairball on our national living room floor. It’s a disease vector that must be removed.
We really need to clean this out quickly because, despite the broad recognition that the whole ‘Iranians have cooties thing’ that Trump is doing, is mostly bullshit, there are many dangerous pieces to this. That includes a century or two of fossil fuel driven greed, lies, and double crosses that have caused millions of people to pile up massive loads of hate.
One option is to force Trump into protective custody for a very detailed mental diagnosis. The man is increasingly irrational and dangerous and the people around him are increasingly out of control. This can be done with no political involvement at all as cleaning up cat puke and hair balls is public health.
Meanwhile someone can sit Nancy Pelosi down and tell her to start the impeachment process to clear the criminal actions and corruption whether or not Trump is ever able to be impeached. Trump, himself, is not competent to stand trial but this is a planetary level disaster that must be resolved. As long as Trump and his cohort are removed from any authority we will all win.
Then we can get busy on the real issues of survival on this planet.
