Now this is interesting. From the other responses several people were taken in. No, JFK did not praise Hitler nor admire him other than as an interesting historical artifact. This is from a diary that JFK kept at the end of WWII when he did a tour of Europe. For those with more than rudimentary historical knowledge the power, at times, of ordinary people to marshal great forces for good or evil is fascinating and frightening. The sheer magnitude of effect is difficult to process. If Hitler and the Nazis had won how would Hitler have been seen? That is a question many historians have struggled with and so did JFK in 1945.
I, as always, strongly suggest ignoring any US media on issues of import. And always ignore those dedicated to ignorance and fascism.
