No, most of what we know is surprisingly accurate within the massive complexity and nonlinearity of a planet’s climate. What is appearing consistently is that the tremendous care to be objective and not sensational in educating people on this threat to our survival has strongly underestimated the speed and severity of change.
This seems to be part of a last ditch effort to block elimination of fossil fuels as the climate disasters worsen. It’s interesting to see the old CO2 is good argument being trotted out one more time.
As is normal in the more sophisticated efforts at misinformation, there is an element of truth to this. CO2 improves plant growth and can increase the ‘greenery’ of a region at early stages of warming. Unfortunately that is a relatively minor improvement in the face of planetary hearing. This was very closely studied for years, the people who trot out this stuff carefully avoid mentioning that, and it doesn’t help.
