It is certainly true from a marketing perspective that a feel good message is tone deaf when the occasion is intense and reality is knocking down the door. That is the time for sharing resources and caring for people who are hurting. The message that works is let’s roll up our sleeves and get to work. If you need something and I have it then it is yours.

People like Osteen are sales people peddling cheap ideas. I would think they would know what they’re selling. Obviously not. That’s amazing. The first rule of Hollywood and the better schools of theology is, never start believing your own bullshit. The dude is so fucking greedy he can’t stop shucking people in a disaster.
