I’ve stayed out of commenting on the Kavanaugh cluster fuck until now but this has reached epic proportions of. . . I’m not sure what. I’m at a loss for words and that is unusual.
So the man is a stereotypical, upper class, sexual predator. Got it. He left a highway paved with demeaned and brutalized women before he even exited school. Jesus, what an asshole. I say that with a full hat tip to his religious affiliation.
Hopefully the dude figured out somewhere along the way that he better keep his wanger in his pants or by next week we will have more women lining up having convinced themselves that this time maybe it is different. He knows if they are out there and he looks like a man who can see their faces even if he can’t remember their names.
But that is my point. The dude is not stupid. He made it through law school so he has enough discipline to contain himself, but from the reported criteria he used for hiring legal assistants his attitudes havn’t changed.
That is totally unacceptable. I grew up and lived in the good old days when fraternities were considered very open minded to allow Jewish members and white supremacy was unquestioned. That was when the Senators running this shit show were in school. And the women were locked up in the women’s dorm. That was as it should be. I can be nearly certain none of them had any problem with any of that back then. They just want all of this to go away so they can get another lame, misogynistic asshole on the court. Then maybe they can get a decent night‘s sleep again.
The doubling down of Grassley and his aging fellows shows the moral squalor of these fine gentlemen. They have no right to any sleep in this world. They are ugly remnants from the last century.
So am I but at least I know it.
