I’m not sure how you mean this. The context was the rise of peace, improved prosperity, though grossly distorted in distribution, education, and communication. That applies around the planet.
The steady decline of the American modeled world from the 1970s coincided with the restoration of China as the dominant world culture. The distortion produced in extreme capitalist societies infected China also after the fall of the USSR but not yet fatally as in the US.
With the sudden collapse of the US under Trump and Russian influence, China is already past the US. They also have the support of a majority of their people. That suggests that they may be able to transform into a sustainable region with a fairly simple removal of Xi and the existing elite.
That is a huge problem and change but is easier when you are operating efficiently and on top than what the US must do to transform an entire culture on the way down.
