I’m having a bit of trouble with the dismissal of micropayment based on criticism from 2003. In having to use some special system to do micropayment that would extract some sort of percentage and that would put a barrier in the path to access, I agree. That is the same with any subscription in an Internet world of free content. But with a universal (block chain) system and a tip jar approach it would be possible to reward while recognizing value given and wishing to pursue a more active community relationship. This does require a new currency but that is needed for many other reasons now . . .
