I have been saying that for several years. I just wrote another response here saying that will a pretty brutal prediction on what will happen and how fast it get terminal.

We are not equipped to handle even the large nation states we have now in the conditions that we have created. The question is the level at which we will be able to survive and where that might be.

With luck we may be able to get the beginnings of an orbital city working that could survive whatever happens on planet. More likely we have new regional organization operating from Iceland, Greenland, Antarctica, Canada, and Russian.

If I’m still able at that point I will opt for Hokkaido.
