Good article. My feeling is that this, like most other technology changes, is already happening. The complaining and arguments come, usually, from those who don’t pay attention. There are legitimate issues with the old, physically and mentally challenged but these are a result of the failure to support these people. They would reap great benefits if they carefully trained, set up with chips, and monitored during transition. These are the people who may misplace money or be robbed by family and caregivers.
The attitude in America that this is “someone else’s” problem is the final cultural failure.
