For thousands of years we lived in those groups of 50–150 but we are no longer those people. Evolution leads to more stimulation and more information. That is why we have been moving for the last ten thousand years to more and larger urban environments.

We are already at 60% there and will be at 80% if we survive another twenty or thirty years. But we cannot, yet, manage large groups effectively. We are crippled by emotion and prejudice.

AI is our evolutionary break. With intelligent systems giving us emotionless management for the great majority of our needs we can live in small, virtual social communities.

If we survive that is how we will live wherever we go.
