Does Kavanaugh mean anything?
Is this a hopeless distraction or a major disaster?

What does the Kavanaugh thing tell us about the current status of our nation state? Does it tell us anything? Are there any positives or is it hopeless?
Christine Blasey Ford is now an international hero. I would personally nominate her for the open Supreme Court position. The best response at this point would be to agree that Kavanaugh was a bad dream and does not actually exist. If he is completely ignored perhaps he will just go away.
Ok, it doesn’t work that way. The Trumplicans need to get a goon on the Supreme Court so they can complete the destruction they promised Putin. While they are at it they can feed the blood lust of their beaten down evangelists. Let’s play politics with women’s bodies and then ignore them.
Needless to say there has been little coverage of the rest of the planet’s take on this. I’ve taken a quick look around and saw nothing but disgust for Kavanaugh. The dudes a misogynist and a whiner and, apparently, no one ever told him a judge is supposed to, at least pretend, to impartiality.
So what could happen?
- Trump and his Trumplicans shove Kavanaugh on the court after faking or ignoring the new FBI investigation. This will enrage a large majority of the people who can do nothing about this due to massive corruption and political collapse.
- Kavanaugh becomes to nasty for even the Trumplicans to touch so they send him away and find someone worse. Amy Coney Barrett is a woman who is less likely to have attempted rape but a loud Catholic that threatens all sort so things we don’t need anymore. She has a fourteenth century concept of society. Trump, not surprisingly, had no idea he needed alternatives.
- Things get murky because Trump has no idea what to do but is angry for not getting his way. He may try to appoint a real ringer but the majority are riled up. He needs to get something by November or the senate becomes a lame duck. Justices must have lower court experience but Trumplicans are quick to jump at the lord’s demand so who knows.
- Or it doesn’t and Trump gets to do whatever he wants until he is removed or the nation breaks apart.
So there are no positive outcomes but only worse to a greater or lesser extent.
