Children’s tears and the milk of hate
That may be all that’s left
It’s time to remember that evil happens in dark places. The evil that happens before our eyes is probably only a shadow of the real evil being done. This was always true but it was true only occasionally in America. There was evil enough there and it was an evil that would be ultimately fatal to the nation but it was at least partially controlled. This is not really true but we need the vestige of some hope remaining that we were not complete fools and our virtues were not all lies.
Whatever they were or weren’t they are the epitome of evil now. There is no salvation in action because there is no one left to act. There is no pretense of honesty or virtue and criminals rule. Not only do they rule but they laugh at the suffering that they create and blame the innocent idiots who allowed all this to happen. And that is where the blame should be after the criminals are removed.
If they can be removed. There are no workable ideas to do that yet. There is only the warmed over lies of a failed system that delivers representatives to do the owner’s bidding and a dose of hatred to draw the facade of support.
This cannot go on. Children crying in the dust at their parent’s feet and thrown in cages for political trade stun all but the hardest of the haters. There is no pretense of policy but only extortion and terror. Lies on lies will cover all but only those already destroyed by what they have countenanced and done still listen. And even some of those struggle to find a new lie to hide behind. The children are all actors.
But remember, the tears of children are holding everyone in horror while the dark corners are hiding greater evil and far worse ways to cause suffering. Suffering is, after all, the mother’s milk of hate. It is addictive to those who turn to hate as the best answer for their insatiable greed. It justifies taking everything that they have accepted as their due.
That world is about to end unless they destroy all for us before it dies. We can give everyone what they need plus the opportunity to build what they can offer. That is the new world that is breaking out of its cocoon. The product of a new way of seeing all as shared and sustainable not as spoils to be stolen leaving children crying. A planet’s hard work is now possible to share. Our technology has made this possible but greed blinds the minority who would rather steal and drink the milk of hate. And mock the children crying.
