But is hope enough? For years now we have been hoping and forced to change what we hoped for because the last object of hope had become unreachable.

The focus of our hope may now be too small to encompass a future for us all. That is the story of the American collapse.

There is a point when hope becomes, not hope for good but the desire to escape the inevitability of worse.
