As I and many other people realize the tipping point was Reagan. Perhaps it was dictated to fail from before that. I can make that argument historically but I can’t make myself believe that the failure was inevitable. I grew up in a society that was proud and hopeful. We saw the failures but really thought they could be fixed. Part of the mistake was thinking that we had actually done something when we had just given up and accepted our role.

After that we just told ourselves that the next election would get things back on track and technology was moving so fast we thought it would make the difference. But each election made it worse and even great changes from technology couldn’t counter the greed and bigotry that we had allowed to remain.

What more can I say.
