As a early boomer I was part of it all although I was stuck in the USAF bombing North Vietnam and Cambodia (Khmer Republic) when Woodstock happened. I fought the war from inside the war machine and have never quite.

Can we declare a demographic of ‘fake boomers’? I’ve met many and they aren’t us.

The break was between the majority who were the product of America when it actually was at its peak. Not great. No racist state with incredible ignorant religious traditions can be great but many of us fought our way out of that. I did it in the Midwest, Yes, Trumpistan now.

Those other boomers never had any idea of what they were. They simply existed based on what they heard on the radio. The others of us were the minority and it was sex, drugs, rock & roll, and trying to figure out how to make this planet work before we blew it to hell.

That was a very real problem and more real than most realized. I was in Air Force intelligence operations and learned way more than I wanted to know. I would say in an important sense I never go over that.

No point in going into the long gone details of government perfidy and lies. I need only mention Henry Kissinger and Dick Nixon. We thought that was the depths of depravity. My god. What innocence.

But we are not dead yet. And there is some hope for the singularity. Those other people still don’t have a clue to what is happening but I intend to have the last laugh.
