An excellent piece on AI and automation. All of this is being kicked around in at the executive levels of IT and in higher ed. The problem is in the community colleges that are becoming, much to their surprise, the nexus for both the new blue color system management and the beginning steps to the creative world. The current structure is too rigid and focused on traditional degrees and certification that it may be bypassed in the pending disruption. That would be a shame as there is really nothing else in position to do this beyond bootcamps. Those will miss the traditional benefits of exposure to the creative world. This could be fixed by a redesign of community college education to open, personalized learning with diverse paths managed by AI itself.
